But let the new guy or gal have the Soviets, it's a German bloodbath. I've found the only place the Germans can really put up any defense is in Estonia. |

Setting up my 101st Airborne against some Volksgrenadiers in a late war scenario. I will be using the One Hour Skirmish Wargames rules by John Lambshead. Right now I'm just sorting things out but here's the scenario I have in mind. A squad from the 101st is ordered to attack the town and knock out a PAK40 that the Sherman's just can't get a bead on without exposing themselves to a German first shot. But not only a PAK but the Volksgrenadiers are well supplied with Panzerfaust. I will have a line of trees setup for the Sherman's to wait behind as the infantry goes in.  |

Salerno 43, A rocky invasion for the Allies this time around, sure rolled a lot of 1's. Commonwealth troops sustained casualties and the American beaches are under attack. The CW Commandos and Darby's Ranger both had good landings. This is German combat phase of turn 2.  |
