Half way point in Across the Narva. The Soviets have crossed the Narva River to the north and south of the city and now can begin to squeeze 11th SS Nordland Division and 4th SS Brigade Nederland from 3 sides. However the two SS units have strong prepared defenses around the city and this will not be a push over for the Soviets.

The Soviet 109th Division along with elements of the 122 push past the German Feldherrenhalle Division in an attempt to cut the supply line to Narva.

An evening with Race to Bastogne by Mike Lambo. The Sherman (top right) actually survived this attack.

That’s a hell of a lot of encirclement on that Sherman! …and it survived!
We travel the same wavelengths, my friend… I had Mike’s, “Ghosts of the Jungle” in my mind yesterday and want to take it for another spin; and I still have those marvelous little metal Vietnam minis to glue and paint, and tiles to make! COVID has me sluggish, but maybe I can try a little artwork this weekend! Thanks for the inspiration!

Their counters are awesome! I’m so glad you posted these Revolution Games…I’m not sure I’d have run across them.

Assault at the Crossroads in 6mm. Somewhere in Belgium 1944. German attack on an American held crossroads. Messing around with a mish mash of rules. I really get a feel for distance.

Nice!!! Looks like great fun! What are you using for the roads? I love how you can achieve large tabletop battles with that scale.

The roads are just acrylic paints. The size of the battles is great, you really get a feeling of distance. The Germans did take the crossroads this evening.

Victory Games, France 1944 The Allied Crusade in Europe. Released in 1986. Compass Games has done a remake of this oldie but goodie. Here it is close to the end of July 1944 and the Allies have just broken out of the bocage region during Operation Cobra. Game is a chit pull and solitaires well.

Not quite sure what's going on yet, a download game from a number of years ago called Fokker, one page of rules.

I just bought the Compass Games version at the Compass Games Expo this past week! France 1944: The Allied Crusade in Europe, Designer Signature Edition. See here.
It was one of the last games I’d bought, and couldn’t leave without it!

Setup a quick 6mm game using a half board, winter 1944 and the Germans launch an attack to capture a bridge guarded by Americans. Because it's half board I'm playing this as a snow storm is going on and movement and sight range is limited due to the conditions. German Panzer IV's make a dash for the bridge as a detachment of US Engineers try and get to the bridge to blow it up. The US Sherman's are on target disrupting two PzIV's and unseen in this picture US infantry has done the same to a stand of German infantry. The PanzerIV's did not go quietly however and suppressed two of the Sherman's.
