Most, but not all onboard tools come with their clips molded on. But so does some pieces I wish they would have not done that to such as the spare tracks. The clips are molded onto the tracks themselves leaving you with just a strip of plastic to mount them to. Wish I had a couple spare track holders from an old build or in stash then I could have carved the kit part off and put a replacement piece on. I like to leave a few tracks off the rack usually.

No mantlet mg included just the hole where it would be, easy enough to take care of.

Back after a short hiatus. Barrel is a nice 1 piece part with minimal seam line so it cleaned up quick. Muzzle brake is 3 piece.

How muzzle brake goes together. Again very nice fit. I put a toothpick through the barrel end, part C11 for placement. Now a couple quick swipes with some sanding film and then call it a night.

Slowly but surely. I see you’re using the Revell “Contacta” …what do you think of that particular product? I’ve seen it used, a lot by UK builders, and have wondered about it. Does it have a metal pipette dispenser attached to the bottle, or plastic? I recently bought the Model Master non-toxic glue at Hobby Lobby, and it had a plastic pipette that you cut the tip off… hate it! I ended up buying Tamiya Extra-Thin, instead, and love it. Love the tooth pic idea, and super work on that linkage and barrel! Nice work on this kit so far… as always, learning a lot and very inspiring! Thanks for bringing this thread our way!

Contacta works well, I had the same problem as you with the plastic stem on Testors, the Contacta has metal tip.

The kit doesn't come with the "gas detection plates", the three shiny parts, that were introduced late 1944 so I cut out 3 from P/E scraps.

Orterkompass mount I made from scrap plastic I will file it down to a more scale appearance once glue is good and set. I also didn't have the two front gas dection plates right so I popped them off and repositioned.

Orterkompass and where mounted on Panther G, I'm pretty sure the idea was to get them outside the interior of the turret to keep all that steel from messing with the readings. These were also mounted on King Tigers, PzIV's and one or two other tanks still being manufactured very late in the war.

Damn fine scratchbuild additions! …I hope you don’t mind, I stole that last post and put a copy in the Reference Library! …feel free to delete my post and add your own for full cred I really appreciate the effort modelers do to add detail to their builds. Just wonderful!

Just as Em is working on his road wheels so am I. Still some work on one or two. I plan to go with steel wheel in the last position.

I really should work on road wheels’ paint pre assembly, but 8 have some sort of Modeler's Block on that where I always seem to do them after they go on the kit. I meant to mention earlier, the figure looks awesome! That’s going to set this final product apart!
