Yeah, we’ve been similar… half a foot of snow, that changes to rain and sleet so, just a slushy mess out there! Haven’t seen a car go by all day.

We finally got "The Beast from the East", ( I always thought that was Bam Bam Bigelow but I might be getting confused , or at least Scotland and the north did. We were bought nearly to a halt round the midlands with a whole 2 inches or thereabouts. Problem is we see snow so rarely we have no idea of how to deal with it, though the big ass 4wd we bought a couple of years ago helped.

Snow, snow and more snow. Sloooow moving low pressure will drop snow here for 36 hours, or so they say. Snow is really fine though and after 12+ hours there may be 2-3 inches of snow.

Getting in supplies for the latest 3 day storm system. Rain snow sleet, should be fun. Then as the storm passes Saturday into Sunday we can expect up to a foot of snow.

Officially 10 inches of snow for us last night and with rain today and another 12 inches of snow for tonight. Got last nights snow cleaned up early this morning and walked down some walking and potty paths for our little Shih Tzu out in the yard. Now I just wait to do it all again tomorrow.

LOL… I hear ‘ya on the ‘not idea how’ part…I worked on an Army base here in Massachusetts in the late 80, early 90s and I used to watch in amazement at southern-States’ soldiers spinning around in circles on thin ice and snow! It was, I’m afraid to say, hilarious. Officially 10 inches of snow for us last night and with rain today and another 12 inches of snow for tonight. Got last nights snow cleaned up early this morning and walked down some walking and potty paths for our little Shih Tzu out in the yard. Now I just wait to do it all again tomorrow. …yeah, when we were in the Caribbean, there was a 20” snowstorm here back home… only a patch or two left by the time we rolled back in. Haven’t seen anything bad since… coating to a few inches, but this week, we’ve been in the upper 50s to low 60s, and expecting 70 next week! Of course, it’s Massachusetts so, it can be quite easily 40 degrees in between days! …early mornings are still just above freezing, but the day heats up quick.

Hotter then hell's kitchen and bone dry is how it's been now for a good month or so, I have only had to mow my lawn 3 times the spring and summer so far. Not much relief in sight in the upcoming week according to the weatherman.

Not much relief in sight in the upcoming week according to the weatherman. It’s been a weird Summer, for sure. We had nice cooler temps up ‘til the start of July and then the heat came on like rocket thrusters! Have had the ac for a couple weeks now! …we’ve been getting g decent rain, though… today, it’s raining cats and dogs with a Nor’easter! …if this were snow, it’d be a heck of a pile on!

Man, Labor Day has come and gone, which is the unofficial end of Summer here in the US, yet it’s hot as the Devil’s balls outside! We’re in the midst of a Summer Heat Wave (3 or more consecutive days of 90 degree+ temps and the AC is on full tilt…all day long! I think I’m ready for the corn candy and Halloween decorations already!

Supposed to get the remnants of Hurricane Phillippe with rain all day, some of it downpours. My sump pump has been going for a few weeks now already, from all the rain we’ve experiences last month alone, and all Summer, in fact…we have a high water table anyways, so a lot of rain really makes for a lot of water below ground. Considering we have well water for our supply, probably a good thing.
The nice thing about a day like this is, though I probably should do some housework, it’s better suited to wargames or modeling, or other hobbies! Been awful busy for weeks upon weeks, with lots of stress so, I’m taking the weekend to decompress and enjoy some fun time!

The first snow of the season fell here on friday the 6th so here we go again... I'm hoping snow is a good 4-5 weeks away yet for us. Cold and windy for us here today after setting record high temperatures last week. Wife broke down and turned furnace up for the first time this year.

It usually a good bet our first snow here in Massachusetts will be on or right around Thanksgiving (November 23rd), and typically a nice light fluffy snow that doesn’t accumulate to more than a road coating that melts in days. I actually, always secretly hope for it on Thanksgiving day, especially when we drive out for mid-day dinner celebrations, as it’s so Norman Rockwell-like! Dreary here today, but supposed to be absolutely gorgeous tomorrow, so leaf peeping out the living room and sun porch should be a treat!

Very nice day today, sunny and mid 50's. Had the leaf blower out and trimmed branches off a couple maple trees we have outback.
