Back into a great stretch of weather, dew point at 48 which is very comfortable, blue skies with a nice breeze out of the north east. A/C and our electric bill is getting a real nice break.

Our third gloomy rainy weekend in a row. Humidity is up there but cloud cover so thick the sun is not really able to heat things up to much. Trees are starting to change and daylight hours becoming less and less.

HA… I’ve got the Green Bay vs Chicago “Sunday Night Football” game on, lol. My brother has season tickets and I wouldn’t be surprised he’d never let them go. My nephew owns a couple gas stations and he gets tickets now and then… a few years ago, he got me into a skybox for a preseason practice game, and the luxury feel was amazing. I got to your Lambeau before hand and it was amazing to feel the history there… reminded me a lot of the old feel you get at Fenway Park!
Humidity returned for the next few days so the ac just went on a few hours ago. Good news is, we got a new ac central air unit outside when we had a new furnace and hit water heater installed last week! Expensive but, the peace of mind now is wonderful; know the old furnace and hot water heater wouldn’t have made it through this Winter, as it was on its last legs. T(e ac unit outside is much better, and new…. The difference in how much cooler it is upstairs (we have a cape) is unbelievable!

Susie's flowers are still going strong but we can tell fall is definitely here! Cloudy, rainy, gloomy weather like someone threw a switch, like alright summer is over fall is here get out your sweaters NOW! Anyway, peaks of sunshine today high upper 50' lower 60's with light winds. As for fall colors we are around 25% according to those in the know, color does seem to be a bit behind this year.

Beautiful fall day. Mid 60's sunny and breezy, leaves are starting to come down but still a lot of beautiful color on the trees.

Getting pretty chilly here in the middle of the UK, low single figures quite often feeling lower, but at least it has stopped b*%^$y raining. Of course all the papers are on about how we are all going to freeze to death in a mini ice age when what they really mean is a mountain in Scotland will get a dusting of snow.

Karen bought me one of those DNA test things…apparently, some of my ancestors were naughty with the Scots! I’m good with this, though… I finally have a reason to wear a kilt! Cold!Temps in the teens with winds gusting up to 35mph, snow flurries. …I’ve been seeing pics of my brothers place north of Milwaukee has been getting snow. We’ve surprisingly gotten very little! It usually starts snowing around Thanksgiving, but this week has been in the 50’s!

Hello Em! In answer to your Brothers place north of Milwaukee they received even more snow today (12/9) while we up north have only got a few dustings so far, and I'm fine with that. Apparently the jet stream has been on a bit of an unusual path across our state that has the storms running farther south. Although we may get in inch or so tomorrow but that may start out as rain or sleet.

...Apparently the jet stream has been on a bit of an unusual path across our state that has the storms running farther south. Although we may get in inch or so tomorrow but that may start out as rain or sleet. The jet stream can be real interesting within the States themselves! Typically, north of us gets the heavy pier snow many times because the jet stream runs high after dipping low to our west…which I’ve always remarked as very strange. That was, until I moved out into Western Massachusetts, where we live in a large valley that runs North/South… I never knew if that diverts the jet stream, or it just rolls over us, but we get less snow than towns and cities to the north and south. South is Connecticut, and they have jet stream off Long Island Sound that gives them a lot of snow. We’re so far from Boston Harbor that Atlantic driven snows don’t bother us out here, unless it’s a Nor’easter from the New Hampshire direction, which equates to a large snow hurricane that blows down our collars. As the crow flies, I’m actually a tad under 20 minutes driving distance to Central Massachusetts, but it’s that valley effect that gets us. I hate living in a valley, though… the air is worse, and the heat. And it took me years to figure out why I wasn’t seeing feet of snow per storm, like I did further east… Valley!

All things considered the past few weeks have not been that bad considering the time of year. Most days lower to mid 30's and not near the amount of snow that was predicted from the 2 slow moving low pressure systems that have passed through. Only problem really is what snow we got was wet and heavy, luckily for me my snowblower was up to the challenge.
