Rulebooks are often fine as is — but for rules that need to be referenced a lot, when charts are embedded within the rulebook, or even game maps within the book, it might be a good idea to get them spiral coil bound. Staples and many other office supplies stores that have a copy center will offer this service for a nominate of under $4. My first experience with this was with a pocket Flames of War rulebook and it was a game changer!
