In November 2021, in Bracciano (a quiet town near the lake of the same name near Rome), the "De Bello Ludico" Convention took place, a meeting of over 30 players who played mainly wargames and also some boardgames. I took this opportunity to do another test of my aerial game. With the help of some player friends we tried two different scenarios, an introductory one called the Gulf of Sirte incident 1989, designed to introduce players to the game system by putting them at the controls of two American F 14 Tomcats on an interception route with two Libyan mig 23s, managed by the artificial intelligence of the game. In all the matches the Americans prevailed but on one occasion they had a severely damaged F14 because if it is true that luck is blind ... bad luck sees us very well. The set-up is designed to ensure that, before the planes reach a dogfight distance, players can learn to manage the use of radar, radar search missiles and "instrumentation". The second scenario called K vs K was a clash between South Korean F 16s versus North Korean Migs 29. I was very pleased to see that the players had no problem managing the dashboard that each plane goes to manage the position of the stick, throttle, the amount of weapons, speed and acceleration. The materials of the prototype of the game (thanks to Carlo Amaddeo) were also highly appreciated.

OMG, Luca, this game is gorgeous! the counter art is dynamite, and those dashboards are spectacular!!! Love the hex game map.
I had no idea it was that far along… What are your plans for publication?

OMG, Luca, this game is gorgeous! the counter art is dynamite, and those dashboards are spectacular!!! Love the hex game map. I had no idea it was that far along… What are your plans for publication? My friend Carlo Amadeo is the only owner of the WBS Games but it is a one-man-band: he can follow one project at a time and he had finished the mailing phase of the kickstarter of the Winged Victory game (biplanes in WWI) and now it would be the turn for another game of modern land combat. My Fast Movers (or Fast-Movers? I don't know...) there the second in queue to kickstarter but we have to do some serious playtesting for the air to ground part and use a blind test with a group of players here in Italy... I could hope for 2023 because I don't want to publish it without testing every 'moving parts' of the rules: I hate when I buy a game and found some obvious flaws or printing error. WBS is not GMT (I know, I'm aggressive here...forgive me!), Carlo wants to do things by the book...
