The Santiago Historical Games convention is one of the honey-holes I want to get to someday! (see here for website) The mission of San Diego HistCon (SDHC) is to create a diverse and supportive gaming community dedicated to playing, discussing, designing, and promoting historically-based board games. Through this commitment, SDHC seeks to serve both the existing historical board gaming community as well as grow it through the addition of new voices and perspectives. The shear breath of boardgames played here looks amazing! The event ballroom looks about the classiest I’ve even seen. Plus, San Diego is just gorgeous weather-wise! Held in November, it’s the perfect place for a New Englander to go and prepare for the frigid Winter bearing down!!!

I saw those pictures a couple days ago and agree with you on how nice that room looks. Plus being in San Diego in November has a lot going for it.

I’d really like to get out to this one someday… it’s a long, and expensive trip, though! Yeah, the gaming hall looks so impressive! They really pack in the people though, don’t they!??!
