During the Wargames Days from October 20 to 22, the Fast Movers table saw 4 pilots take turns, with 3 of them new to flying with the system and one veteran for whom this was not their first rodeo. The matches by the new pilots used the introductory scenario "Off Tobruk" (F-14 US Navy vs. Libyan Mig-23) designed to guide the new pilots in exploring the mechanics of the system during gameplay. Above a photo of the most intense match, when a Libyan Mig had "almost" managed to escape but was severely damaged by a Sparrow: the supersonic speed of the Flogger had taken its toll on the plane, which disintegrated into a thousand pieces. Shortly afterwards, its wingman also fell victim to an AIM-9M (serious damage) and then a second Sidewinder delivered the final blow. The last match saw a replication of Operation Bolo, with some F-4s up against numerous Mig jets (for the occasion piloted by bots) that certainly gave the pilots a run for their money! Here a photo: the first bot gun attack on Phantom #1 with an outcome of light damage. The damaged Phantom managed to lock on to the other Mig, severely damaging it with a Sparrow... The match was then suspended due to time constraints, but the outcome was heavily weighed in favor of the F-4s. All the pilots had fun playing Fast-Movers, and during the debriefings at the end of the match (during which the players themselves were invited to give their opinions on anything that could be improved), the only obvious suggestions were regarding some graphics and color aspects. So, another successful mission for Fast-Movers: satisfied players and a game system that 'runs' well!!! Next appointment with Fast-Movers from November 24 to 26 at De Bello Ludico in Bracciano (near Rome)

WOW!!! I’ve been following along as you’ve worked on this and have loved watching it develop into such a great looking, and fun playing game! How many years has it been since conception to where you are with it now? Have you had any interest in publishing companies approaching you?

The oldest file on my computer about this idea was created in 2015...!!!! I am pleased with the progress of the game so far. There is still much to be done, but it is mostly details. The 'engine' of the game works well. All the testers agree that the game is not very complicated but the situations you find yourself in during a game are. Weighing the distances, differences in altitude and speed between the various fighters flying on the map as well as the weapons systems and their characteristics always make Fast-Movers interesting. There are no dull moves: every move generates consequences The 'push' to work on my first idea come from Carlo Amaddeo, the founder of WBS (We Build Smiles WBSgames) a small Italian game company. He has some published games under his belt and I'm really trying to discover what happens 'behind the scenes' when a game approach the last legs of its journey before the actual printing.
