You know, I’ve been inspired by Mike’s use of old CD’s for miniatures dio bases… it struck me when I saw a couple finish pics from Stickpusher (at MSC), where granted, these pictured below are huge (1/48 scale), but it struck me that small 1/72 kits would look cool on CD’s with a diorama atop. Flower pot plates is another good base material as well as photo frames.

Flower pot plates is another good base material as well as photo frames. Great suggestions! I like the flower pot saucers particularly… upside down, a nice raised surface and nice curved sides that would accept labels well. On the frames, I’ve thought of using them, with a piece of basso wood or something in place of the glass; and I actually love using old award plaques, which have awesome pre-finishes. I’ve used this one on models displayed at IPMS shows…
