You know, hobbies aren’t cheap! The average price of a wargame these days has crept past $100 USD, often hitting the one hundred fifties+ price mark. Models are worse, some commanding prices in the couple hundreds! Unlike the latter, you can still get some wargames for about $20 for ever-becoming more popular book games, but the chances of walking out any hobby store with three or four games/models for well under a hundred are long gone.
But these are hobbies, after all, and the price paid for the in it I’ll product gives you weeks, months, and even a lifetime of fun and joy, so we pay the price when we can. Still, we must often be frugal and wise in our purchasing strategy. As we ply through the months of any given year, most of us will add to our collections; we will *invest* in ourselves and our time with well earned hobby supplies.
However, then there are the Holidays! Most particularly, the end of year ones where gifts are often the norm. We spend a lot f time finding hat just so right gift for our loved ones and friends, but too often, we forget ourselves. So I say to you… remember yourself as we near the end of the year, and make sure to buy yourself some fun games and challenging models, that new guitar, some snazzy camera equipment, or whatever your chose hobby(s) gear themselves in.
Next thing you know, you’ll be in the new year so, don’t go into it empty handed!!!
