I’ve been noticing a trend: So I’ll preface the observation with a statement that, I still like to email people! Like writing letters used to be, it appears to be a dying form of communication. I don’t send a lot of email, but of the handful of people that I regularly do email, one writes back… ONE. It’s gotten to the point that I’ve just stopped emailing the others. I have to admit…it’s crept into my thoughts, “Is it me?” Seriously, it’s annoying! But I notice it’s the same, though not as bad, with texts. Forget about phoning anyone… NO ONE like to talk on the phone anymore. I’m aggravated.

Yes, I have a dear friend that I had to leave behind in Ohio a few years ago. I try to keep our relationship going, but he only responds to my texts half the time, and I don't want to overdo it. I don't get it either.

I don't get it either. yeah, that’s a great side-point on, not wanting to overstep… I on the one hand feel like too many emails sent and not responded to make it look too bothersome on their end, which is kinda silly; what I should do is just be upfront and state, since this has become so one-sided, perhaps that’s a sign that [your] interest is lost in maintaining contact.

The main problem is the rise of a-social medias over the last 15 years that have changed peoples short attention span to non existing attention span. People is only after quick confirmations in order to boost their pathetic egos.
