The beaches after Air and Naval Bombardment but before the amphibious landings begin. White counters are reverse of full strength counters that are spent, in this case from bombardment. Units also become spent from movement and assaults.

The US 82nd and 101st Airborne land behind Utah Beach around St Mere Eglise capturing 2 bridges and knocking out a German coastal artillery unit. The weak German regiment in Utah Beach proper has survived the bombardments and waits for the landing to begin.

Omaha Beach is living up to it's present day nick name " Bloody Omaha". As for the other beaches Utah and Sword are German free with Gold and Juno left with light resistance.

Nice! I’d had always wanted this game…almost bought it new, back when I first started buying in the game stores, but for s9me reason didn’t, and regretted it. Finally bought a used copy at a flea market at a game expos several years back for ten or fifteen bucks…no rules but I downloaded a set (not the greatest but, not should do the trick!). It’s on track for learning this year.

End of turn 3 finds the Americans at Omaha Beach in a ferocious fight. After trying to land another division all 4 units didn't pass their interdiction rolls and 3 land with disrupt 1 markers and the other is spent. Utah (not shown) is in pretty good shape and should begin to breakout of their beachead next turn and in good order, fingers crossed. The British at Sword Beach, (farthest right) have moved off the beach and captured Caen for 4 VP's. The Canadians on Juno should not be far behind. The British on Gold Beach have, as the Americans at Omaha, a tougher time of getting inland. The Germans coastal artillery has been wicked, I have never rolled so many 1's in a row in my life. Just wicked. But now with 3 of the 5 beaches opening up the Allies can start to move inland and force the German forces to withdraw from Omaha and Gold.

Fantastic action!!! Omaha is deserving of its name, Bloody Omaha! This game…at least this playing really gives the feel of what the Allies faced on D-Day. Those beaches and fighting for a breakout are no joke! Panzer Lehr is being a real pain in the ass, looks like.

The action is constant in this one for sure. I'm at the end of turn 4 now which saw the previously successful Panzer Lehr take a beating trying to disrupt the British 3rd Inf. Div. even more. I have yet to mention Allied air power so I will say it has been brutal on the Germans trying to move up reinforcements, as it actually was. German flak can alleviate some of this problem but it can not even get situated in any forward zones as it keeps getting knocked for a loop trying to get between zones, flak can not move and defend in the same move. The Germans can move one zone free from air interdiction but it's getting that second move in that's proving very difficult.

I finally found a set of rules for this game, though the person that uploaded it had to do so in two parts… and, the image quality of the rulebook print is pretty bad. I’d bought a used copy at a flea market for about ten bucks, as I remember it, but had no rulebook.

I don't have a printer or scanner but if a rule is unclear I can always take picture of it and send it to you.
