Very nice, mate… clean build and a beautiful final result! I note the BBs in the inner nose, used to weight the bird from being a “tail sitter”…what did you use to hold them in place?
I also like the use of the dowel…I assume as a hand hold when working on her.
What paint did you use for her?
I’ve never seen an actual Matchbox kit in the wild… we’re they popular?

Humbrol Metalcote #27001
Gator Acrylic Hobby Glue
Matchbox was a popular brand in Europe in the seventies and eighties when I grew up. Rather basic kits but mostly true to form even if they're sparingly detailed. For me it's nostagia to build a Matchbox kit.

How long does the enamels take to cure? …that Metalcoat looks to have done an awesome job! I’ve never heard of Gator Acrylic Hobby Glue. But it looked to hold those BBs in place well… I’ve wondered how Eileen’s Craft Glue does in similar regards. You know, I used lead fishing weights in my P+38, but can’t recall for the life of me what I used for glue, lol!

They need about a week in order to fully cure. Gator is a resin enhanced white glue that is primarily made for PE. But a word of warning, Don't glue lead with any white glue as the water in the glue may cause the lead to develop "lead plague" that can burst the model years later. Also don't use lead that have been exposed to the environments without resmelt it. Use any CA glue for fixing lead to the model.

I had a long think on it and remembered, ah, I wrote a build log on it, hahahaha… turns out I used gel CA to affix lead fishing bullets; and on those, the store packaging did mention something about being safe to handle.
