This is a game I’ve been playtesting for a couple months. There are a few of us playtesters and is coming along slow but sure. The rules are being tweaked and perfected at the same time, which is manageable at around 20 pages thusfar, and the complexity isn’t brain draining… it’s always hard testing a new game out that’s still being tweaked. I think this is going to be an awesome game! I’m playtesting it on VASSAL, but I might be getting a mock-up, which will be much better for my getting more from the game. " Die Seehunde" is a solitaire conflict simulation game, set in the last months of World War II. You’re the commander of a two-man crewed, midget submarine Type XXVIIB5, called Seehund (“seal”)… also simply called a “Hund” (dog) by its crews. When talking about midget submarines, most people seem to think of Japanese mini subs; but the Germans had them also, used for attacking shipping to fair effect, and also for small resupply missions with what were called “butter torpedos”, in instances like emergency troop supply. Equipped with two G7e Torpedoes, the Seehund was designed as a short range commerce raider for deployment in the coastal areas of the North Sea. The strategic goal of the Seehund operations was to divert as much enemy force as possible. Publisher will be Compass Games …probably at least a year off from now. It’s currently in playtesting; and it will likely go on a pledge system to fund, followed by production…so it’s a ways off. The game's page on BoardGameGeek
