This was my first n' is so far my only finished build in 1:48. Not only that, it was also my first bird since '83 n' my first ever airbrushed model. Many first here. The build was on the whole a very smooth one. I fell in love with the Dutch markings for it from the very first time I saw it so I did the bird as the one that was the bird of Lt. August G. Deibel MWO, 2-VI.G.V, ML-KNIL at Malaysia, Dutch EST Indies 1941-42. Lt, Deibel was credited with three kills.

Started on July 15, 2008 and finished by December 2, 2008

Love this one! Gorgeous build for a stater in 1:48… I like the scale’s larger size for aircraft, personally.

And HA, I forgot about that homemade spray booth!!! …computer fans, as I remember? …I was considering trying to build one at the time I first saw it, but saved myself by finding my PACE booth.

I've since then replaced that booth with a better one that I built five years ago or was it four years, I don't remember (perks that comes with age). I'll put up photos of it later on as I first must locate 'em on my new computer (still surfing with my old one but I've migrated all files to the new one) that I'm in the slow process of setting up and then upload 'em.

What did you buy for a computer? Years ago, Karen and I got away from desktops and stuck just with laptops… I bought a custom built HP Spectre and I adore it! She’s got a Dell…I used Dells for work and grew to despise them for that alone, hahahaha.

I got lucky with the funding for the new computer so I hope that it'll last me at least eight years or so.

Thanks mate! I built it in the beginning of January but the process of installing everything that I want and fine tune it so to speak have been a slow journey for me. If I didn't have to fight with my depression I'd done it in one to two weeks. But I'm slowly getting it done.

Sorry to hear of your battle with depression… I know how debilitating that can be. I truly hope you can get by it, but understand how difficult that is.
