Thanks mate! Mig Jiminez haven't gotten around to sell nectar from the Gods yet for extorsion prices. But just you wait and see, you never know what he's up to. I mean, turned toothpicks in brass for fucks sake..."

Another gem… I don’t remember this build, and I didn’t realize you hand painted at one juncture… your kits always amazed me so that it never entered my mind that you weren’t born with an airbrush in your hand straight from the womb!
I recognize “ScaleMates”, but not where from… was that a pan Internet forum, or magazine that you showed in?
On airbrushes. I seem you remember you used a Harder & Steinbeck? I always meant to ask why you chose the brand you use.

Thanks Em! I started out by brushpainting my ancient Humbrol Enamels. It took me around 3½-4 years before I got my first airbrush, an Aztek A470 (sold) that I didn't like and changed to a generic China clone airbush (scrapped) that was better despite the fact that it was crap but it was better crap than the Aztek. Then I got My first H&S, a Silverline 2in1 (sold) that I used as my only airbrush for about eight years before I strated adding different airbrushes to my collection. First a H&S Infinity CR+ Solo 0.15mm, Badger Krome (sold nowadays), Badger Sotar 20/20, Badger Sotar Slim, GSI Creos PS-770, Ps-270, PS-269, PS-268, Badger Patriot 105, Iwata Revolution HP-CR, Eclipse Takumi, High Performance C Plus HP-CP, Custom Micron CM-C2 and Custom Micron Takumi. I plan to sell some of them though plus the fact that I've got yet two another H&S (Evolution and Infinity) that I've recieved as a gift from a fellow modeller that had runned them down hard. I've since then refurbished them to two fully functioning airbushes again and plan to sell those two as well. Scalemates is an online kit database and community for stash management (much needed for me with my close to 5k kits/ad-ons in my stash) that I do recomend all to use. You can with ease check out the pedigree or lineage of a kit that you're planning to build and se what you can find in terms of ad-ons to that particular kit or find reviews and such. Scalemates. You can also go through my entire stash there if you look me up there if you want...

I think we all over did the rusty tracks back then, and also possibly the single malt! Just kidding about the scotch.

I believe Nick (Geek44) used an Aztec, IIRC, and that may have been more an availability thing for him; he’s (and probably you) the one that I believe recommended the Iwata Eclipse is still own and use… my first was actually a Badger single action, which 8 also still own and always meant to use for Future applications. Yeah, I looked up Scalemates just this morning! …very interesting…minds me of BoardGameGeek and it’s similar functions of stash management and cataloging, which I’ve found use for, so I’ll probably sign up for Scalemates today… I have been kinda wondering how many kits I own, though it pales by a far stretch to yours! I think I’ll become an international cat burglar! I think we all over did the rusty tracks back then, and also possibly the single malt! Just kidding about the scotch. I like me a good scotch now and again!

Yes Nick started out with an Aztek A470 as well but felt the same way about it as me. He's using Iwata nowadays.

I‘ve been trying to get his butt over here and play, but he’s a tough nut to crack… he’s a busy guy, so I get it, but it’d sure be great to get more of the old band back together. I sometimes wonder what happened to folks like Paul (Cyberia) and the gang.
