And the rank and division badges are just printed up and glued on, would have never thought you could do that. The inks don't run or fade out with any type of finish coats you do? You must seal them on?

Ya, Mike, HP ink jet printer. Been doing it quite a bit, and if I won't be painting a patch or I can't find a decal on the market this works just fine. Naturally a lazer jet printer will do a better job, but I don't have one. I hit the paper with a shot of Krylon Matte Varnish after the print dries for a few minutes. Then it's careful cut out and glue on. You gotta pay attention to the edges, they may need a slight touch up of whatever color is needed.
It's pretty simple, just get the correct size.

…The glasses were cool enough but to read you put lenses in them too! I have used clear plastic from blister packs to make broken windows for a building in my war gaming miniatures terrain… Ya, Mike, HP ink jet printer. These are perfect examples of why I think modelers can benefit from wargamers, and vice versa… Allied Hobbies, in so many instances! On Mike!s comments, I’ve used scrap plastic for windows on models, where the open boxed kit (flea market find) didn’t have them, pr what I plan to do for my Interstellar “Ranger” model that came with molded windows I’m cutting out to replace e with clear tinted windows. As for Steve’s, I’ve wondered about the Krylon thing… Wargamers often male Print ‘N Play counters and I’ve wondered how to seal them! As to the thread in general, I am learning sooooooo much, and hugely inspired with your work, Steve…thanks for being a member and participating!
