In The Works: World ar War - Naval

Lock ‘N Load Publishing has added an upcoming naval version to their hit, World at War series, which is in playtesting. Featured at a recent modern warfare games convention, this look to be a stellar addition their inventory of great games!













It will be a long while yet, but I’m super excited to hear of and see this in the works.

While I know you are much more knowledgeable on this part of game development but this seems pretty far along to be in just playtesting no? My observation is just going on the components here.

Yeah, the amazing thing is, all the components are mock ups’s! …LNLP is kinda the leader in this regard, from what I’ve seen.

In a perfect world — meaning, no other games in front of this — it’d be going to KickStarter within a couple months… but there are two World at War ‘85 land games ahead of it (the second game of that series, Blood & Fury, and then third of the series introducing France, I believe) that will go through the process of design, playtesting, KickStarter or Gamefound, and then production and release first, which will probably take the better of a couple years…

THEN, this one gets its chance. Yeah I know, that’s insane, but the plus side is they are cranking out a lot of games, even though at a snails pace.
