There has been a long gap between active miniatures and model painting sessions for me, and now that I’m retired, I’ve been reentering the hobbies big time! But, an unfortunate side of that long hiatus was, my bottles of acrylic paints have all been found to have had the pigments settle down to the bottom of the bottles. I’ve tried using a few, and they are usable with a good amount of shaking of the bottles, but I’m sure it’s not very pigment-saturated. To battle the issue of paint settling, I just purchase a Badger Air-Brush Co. 121 Paint Mixer, for use with 3/4-ounce, 1-ounce, 3-ounce, and 4-ounce Jars. Looks like it will thoroughly mix all my bottled paint and evenly disperse the settled pigment in the bottle bases, assuring consistent viscosity of paint from top of the bottle to the bottom. Operates on 2 AA batteries.
