I had an interesting nudge, leading into my attendance at the Comapss Games Expo a few weeks back… a main gaming buddy and I planned on specific games we wanted to play each other in, and he did several YouTube watching sessions of gameplay for them, as both reminders for systems previously played and new games. He’s done this a lot in the past, in fact, and I’ve always thought to myself, “I really need to do this, too!”
I’m kinda slow to embrace these types of platforms…my wife is always watching YouTube, especially for cooking and organizing tips. It really looks to be a potential Gold mine of information, but most try’s at it has more than not, been frustrating, with folks that, well, suck at doing vids. But I really need to work through that!
Tonight, I watched an 18 minute introduction and example of a turn for Pacific Tide, the Greg Smith area movement game… it really did give me an overall feel for the whole game, and a good idea on how the cards and strategy work!
