So the Brits are the next force out, a bit of a surprise as I was expecting the US as they seem to be the nation everyone thinks of when the Bulge is mentioned. www.flamesofwar.com/hobby.aspx?art_id=7564Some interesting forces mentioned with a new starter box with Challengers, Comets, mech infantry and support. My friend will be interested in this as I have regulularly suffered at the hands of his almost unkillable Churchills and I am sure that he will want to keep up his momentum.

Holy Comet, Batman! …hey, I am seriously surprised on that one, as well! I think you’re spot on in your assessment that most folks think US on Bulge, but I get it. I must say, the Market Garden book looks very tempting! Churchill’s are one of the biggest surprises (…pattern, here?) for me in mini gaming. My inaugural introduction to WWII miniature gaming was Axis & Allie’s Miniatures…when my first booster packs contained a Churchill’s, I didn’t know what to do with them, and underestimated thier toughness. Boy, did I grow to appreciate them!

I think the Churchill was one of the best tanks of the 2nd ww. It was so adaptable, it could do pretty much anything you wanted it to, as long as you did not want it to go quicker than walking speed . And then you get the Crocodile with it`s flame thrower and the detachable fuel bowser. They are just a horrifying sight in FOW when you see 3 of those coming at you knowing you have almost no chance of destroying them from the front.

That, my friend, was one of the best statements I’ve ever read on a wargaming forum …especially the last sentence! (…andI quite agree!)

Thank you for the kind words mate. Right, back from vacation so the next update. A look at the Comet box force. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ashdzVDhK4AThis is a very nice looking force which should be able to go toe to toe with pretty much any other force.
