My armor, I have glued them to card painted brown. I tried to highlight the ground with different shades of brown but it didn't work very well. I am basing as I want to try and protect the barrels a little bit. If I don't like it I can just put them in water to soak off.

The detail is phenomenal, considering these are 6mm. Those are about the size of a little over a penny? I’ve a few packs stashed away that I’ve been meaning to get to… there’s a lot to be said about playing bigger battlefields on a small surface!

Those are about the size of a little over a penny? Right! You know me at first I wanted to use pennies but the only one that may have worked was the Sherman. The Jackson and all German tanks were just to long. I tried putting acrylic floor wax on the barrels to stiffen them up a bit paying particular attention where the barrel leaves the mantlet, it worked to a degree and is better then nothing I guess. Not all that disappointed but not all that happy either. The Sherman's with their short and stocky barrels are pretty good right out of the bag. I pull these out every couple years and mess around with them, I'm pretty close now to being able to try a game.

I’m not sure how you’d do it, other than a disposable cheap Artist brush, applied on thinly so as not to obscure details; on barrels, I’m meaning more nit to increase barrel diameter so that they look cartoonish. I always go a bit more than less with a new technique so, I’d probably put a coat of CA on, dry, then paint and weather, then Future, hahaha. The barrel should only end up being the size of a lilac branch by then

American patrol, in 6mm. I start painting with the base and work my way up. I don't worry about boots, they will be covered in grass anyway. I then paint jacket, weapons, flesh and lastly the helmet. I paint faces and hands with the tip of a toothpick. I have found out for faces turn them on their heads, much easier to get to the face with no over painting and getting paint down his jacket. That's how I do it anyway.

I may do a little touch up, maybe on the rifle stocks, (previous post) but not really necessary in this scale, I just take one run at a figure and if I mess one up a bit it's not really an issue in this scale, to me anyway.

Started basing, a penny and your favorite glue is all you need. I use CA.

I did end up going back and touched up the rifle stocks where the flesh paint had run unto them. I guess I need to put more paint on some rifles going by the previous photo.

Panther in winter. Just paint the base white. I add a drop of light grey to tone down the brightness of straight white.

Making terrain can turn into little dioramas. I want to make a destroyed little crossroads set in the winter a "Battle of the Bulge" feel. I just cut out a square of plastic card and glued the buildings down, I will do some demolition work to the other three buildings after starting ground work.
