The Germans need to neutralize the American MG nest, there are also 2 rifle men in support.

The intrepid Hauptman Schneider after repulsing the American attack on Alte Brat is ordered to take out some men and take out the American MG entrenched in the other side of the woods. Schneider scraps together 7 men for the job.

Schneider advances warily through the woods but to little avail as Private Berger is downed by a shot from a Garand rifle. Dead or suppressed we don't know yet

Final starting position of the American riflemen. Moved from one side of MG to the other.

[mikeh]

MG takes a hit. One more hit does it.

[mikeh]

Germans knock out MG. Germans 1 KIA and 4 suppressed.

Americans. 2 KIA

The Woods part 2.

Hauptman Schneider follows the retreating Americans.

[mikeh]

The Sgt pulls his men back to an old house that has seen betters day. They all know the enemy will be following.

[mikeh]

Schneider's men move forward having just lost a man.

[mikeh]

At the moment the Americans have a man at least suppressed. The Germans 1 KIA.

The Germans try an attack straight at the American positions, it worked on the MG nest in the last scenario but not in this one. None of the downed soldiers made it.

The Germans fail their Morale check and are forced to leave the field.

American win.

The 3 games played turned into a nice little campaign.

That one was brutal… shows a MG nest can be a squad’s worst nightmare. Looks like a heavy machine gun… .50 cal?

I live the nest’s sandbags… looks like you did some weathering on them, too? Where’d you get them… what scale are they?

50 cal indeed. The sandbags are from Forces of Valor and no touch up, that's the way they came. OHSW rules were used and all in 1/72 scale.
