Nice Em! Did the gear on the backs come with the kit itself? Also I see only one with a tow cable, the one farthest right, did you add that one yourself? Thanks… yes, the stowage came with the mini, loose. Made of metal like the tracks, the detail is very, very nice and adds tremendous the look of the individual miniatures. The tow cable I believe is molded on the hull, in resin. I’m finding it’s those fine details that really make or break so many miniatures. I’m pretty sure the decals didn’t come with the boxed set, as most FoW minis seem not too…I have blister packs of American and German decals in 15mm, which are a must. My only beef with my finish in these is, I’d like to go back in sometime and weather them better. I did do some weathering, and it shows up nicely on a diorama, but I’d like them much more dirty and muddy, maybe. They were painted back in the days when I was using Folk apart Acrylics craft store paint, and the rougher pigments actually work well to impart a look of roughly cast metal hulls… there were banged out so quickly during the war that the metal machining was pretty Whamm Bam Thank You Mamme. These are killer looking, compared to Axis &Allies Miniatures, and I play the, whenever Sherman’s are involved.

Battlestar Galactica & Cylons Fleets I have individual ship and fighter pics somewhere, which I’ll try to find, but for now, the ones you see are most of the assembled OOB I have for both factions, from major Battlestars and Basestars, to individual fighters. Made from white metal and resin, the detail is respectable in the small pieces and gorgeous on the larger. They’re in the 28mm family, though the larger you go, the more “representational” you’re getting… I mean a Cylon Basestar is MASSIVE and would take up almost the entire space grid battle map shown! On that battle map, it’s made with a 3-fold black foam core board used for school science fair projects. The hexes were made using a jig, being a punched-out hex tiles tree from Memoir ‘44 (I keep it for things such as this!); a white Paint Pen from Michael’s Craft Store (ai think it’s for fabric) has a ball point, which when depressed upon the surface, releases paint in a measured means to basically “draw” in the card surface of the foam core board. After the grid was laid, I then used the same pen to draw on the stars and space formations. It’s quite effective and hasn’t warped or deformed in the many years I’ve had it now. I do own a felt space mat now, with screen printed artwork, but I still like having this foam core mat for quick games and demonstrations. The actual rules for this game are about 90+% done, but I’m still figuring out things like EM Pulses, boarding parties, electronic infiltration, etc.

The detail on GHQ’s minis continue to amaze me, on such tiny minis! They are just spectacular.

I love the snow bases. I keep saying it p, but it’s true… GHQ’s minis have incredible detail for 6mm! The Panzer IV is so icon and a joy to behold!

WWII American M36 Jackson TDs, 15mm Command DecisionThis is a platoon build of five WWII American M36 Jackson Tank Destroyers, from April 2009. It was the third 15mm miniatures build project I'd done. A Command Decisions platoon bag, this was my first departure from Flames of War to the all metal, hollow hull miniatures produced by Old Glory Miniatures. Old Glory were priced cheaper than Flames of War, and had a great range of miniatures. Not as heavy as FoW, but still a very nice weight to the individual minis. Exceptional metal units and accessories, the detail is marvelous... the only thing missing are the decals, though I'd already bought some from another market to outfit several sets over time. The turrets, main gun and arms, treads, and accessories are loose and require assembly. Unlike the FoW minis, rare earth magnets would not work in the case of this miniatures line to secure them in place, nor BluTac, so you must use a bit more care with loose turrets. I love the open turrets of these TDs For a little more detail, see the build thread here
