Finishing up on a couple of squads of American and Germans. These are 1/72 soft plastic figures from Revell, Italeri and Pegasus. My plan right now for the bases is to leave them as is and add no static grass or other ground foliage, this should work better I hope for urban battles and should also work fine for woodland battles. Took me about three weeks a couple hours in the evening to get done. Some figures were done years ago, works good for the Germans as not so monochromatic look to their uniforms. All US troops I felt needed to be repainted. As for primer some were sprayed in sticks to plastic paints while the really older figures were done with PVA aka White Glue. I mixed a drop of black paint into my future floor wax wash to shadow and protect the figures followed by just a plain coating of the acrylic floor wax to really strengthen the figures. Would like to start setting up a game tonight and use the One Hour Skirmish Wargames rules. It will be an American attack with Armor on some long forgotten little German town.

Those look awesome! Thanks for the details on finish. For the straight standing American infantryman, how tall is he in inches? Are your vehicles used, in 1/72 scale, as well?
