Dang, these inflation effects in increased shipping costs are brutal! For me, it’s toughest on the cheaper cost items, where shipping is double the cost of the item! It’s really changed what I’ve bought. If I can get a decent product price on Amazon, that’s where I’ll get it, as I get free shipping.
I feel bad for wargame companies that rely on overseas shipping… getting containers is very tough for them, and when they do secure one or more, they are significantly up-priced compared to the past. Of course, this means the proce of product is higher, and I get it, they gotta do what the gotta do to survive all this. It still hurts, though!

I do my game shopping on Amazon and now I'm looking at the cost of shipping before the price of the game! Shipping costs are brutal all over the world now and not just here in the states. I did manage to find a new game to send for from Amazon with free shipping. And from the Gray Rooster Store at that, usually it's games fulfilled through Amazon with the free shipping.

Good point on the worldwide shipping… We’re experiencing something akin to what counties like Canada and Australia to name two at random, pay for outrageous shipping costs. That’s a good strategy… I buy almost everything on Amazon, including several games. We git Amazon Prime simply for thr free shipping; and the music app is nice, too. Their Prime Reading book selection sucks! Anyway, the proce of a yearly subscription pays itself over many fold just with shipping savings. Another way to go would be to keep a Wish List right there on your Amazon account, then wait for free Prime Days for the free shipping

Folks in the UK are having fits with the price of postage there also. And of course anyone that wants to ship something to the UK. One guy from the states sent 3 British medals to the UK to have them made into a medal bar. Between the packages value, VAT taxes and postage it was $200.00! He has 2 or 3 weeks to pay it or they send it back to him, he is just taking them back. My seller of medals in the UK has business in the states every couple of months so when he is coming over he messages me and asks if there is anything I want to purchase and he brings it across the pond with him and mails it from where ever in the states he lands. Because I pretty much always buy medals it's not that hard for him to tuck the box into his luggage but one time he did bring a uniform jacket for me to mail.

I’ve thought right along that an arrangement like that with your UK guy is the way to go. I almost asked Frank to buy and mail me something with advanced payment to him, until I saw the prices… Yikes!
