I’m kinda half sorta maybe thinking of a Old West miniatures project, seeing how the old Avalon Hill game, “Gunslinger” would be, played out with miniatures on a board map of an old west town. This popped in my head thanks to Scott, from a discussion on one of his “Ghost Recon” games. I’m sure this has been must have been done before? …you’d think so, anyway. I also know there are a lot of miniature western game systems out there these days, too… there was a game Derek was into years ago… maybe it was “Dead Man’s Hand”? But those were played on dioramas, I believe. …hmmmm. Thinking. 28mm, definitely… I’d want that better detail. Something like these Artizan Design Wild West minis found at Game Kastle… …hmmmmmm

I'm on the lookout now for some cheap Dollar Store cowboy and indians toy figures the book One Hour Skirmish Wargames has some rules that can be used for wild west scenarios see how I like them before diving in deeper on more expensive figures.

That’s a brilliant idea! You get all the feel you need, and you can even paint them if you wish. I know there’s a system out these that uses the little green army men we played with as a kid, and I know you can still buy…same concept.

Looking for green army men is how I ran across the cowboys and indians package to begin with, now that I'm looking for them they don't have any on the shelf. I just stopped in again yesterday after reading this thread and still none, checked Dollar General too with no luck.
