Harbor Freight has a very nice wooden tool chest called the Windsor Design for about $85. It’s kinda a cross between the Gerstner (which is a high end model which goes for $375) and Trinity (which I own, but don’t see around anymore; originally costing $74). This is what you can get at Harbor Freight…
One of these are sooooooo worth every penny! Note: see post #4 on this thread for a full history on my purchase experience with this kind of tool chest.

Nice! But I can't help but think how great my medals would look in that!

Nice! But I can't help but think how great my medals would look in that! WOW, yeah! Right!?! Keep them protected, and you could transport them for show and tell at schools, conventions, and local centers! You're touching on an interesting facet about these tool chests that fascinated me when I first discovered them, which is that I see them for use beyond being a mere tool chest if you have a mind to, for things such as a display or transportation vehicle, as well as/or for your prized possessions… be that the high end or specialized tools handed down to you or acquired along your lifetime, or maybe collections like your medals, or souvenirs, art supplies, and so on. The construction of these chests are high end enough to be used as furniture or display purposes, but rugged enough to handle tools used regularly. I always like to think outside of the box, and what that box can do!
