I would love to go to this some year! I’ve heard so much about the WBC, which is a massive Boardgaming event held every Summer.
The event is hosted by the Boardgame Players Association (BPA), which is a non-profit corporation established to support the shared interests of board game players everywhere. The BPA wishes to serve as a portal for boardgamers to enjoy their favorite games. If you enjoy historical simulation games, euro games, racing games, train games, any type of board game, you’ll find thousands of people here that share your interests. We sponsor annual tournaments, organize play-by-email games, and help establish global player ratings.
The BPA’s largest event is the annual World Boardgaming Championships® (WBC) where about 1,600 people from around the world compete to be named champion of their favorite boardgames. Competitions are scheduled in 160+ games consisting of the Century and Trial events. WBC also offers open gaming, Juniors events, demonstrations, seminars, an auction and auction store, and vendors.
WBC 2022 will run from July 23 to July 31 at Seven Springs Resort in Pennsylvania.
