This concludes my playtesting assignment for this game. The next group will fine tune the game, and it should be published sometime on 2025. It was a lot of fun!!!

This concludes my playtesting assignment for this game. The next group will fine tune the game, and it should be published sometime on 2025. It was a lot of fun!!! You won, right? It looks fun! Allied Sudden Death Victory in Turn 2 (of a 7-Turn Game) with Control of all Allied Bases and 7 Communist Bases... The last three Communist base space battles decided the game early, with the Allies rolling high and getting elimination results on NVA Garrison units; that was more luck than strategy, to be honest…the dice were kind to the Allies at the right moment. Theoretically though, the elimination of Communist Vietnamese garrisons in such a crushing manner, without a major Allied Offensive involved is a bit unusual, but as they say, the fortunes of war sometime favor the bold… I (as the Allies) was throwing everything I had the Communists all over South Vietnam both turns, and particularly on Turn 2 to the point that had I not made the combat gains I did, Communist Reinforcements could have potentially turned the tide badly in Turn 3. That’s one of the things I most enjoyed in this game, being forced to think in a Command role and just chucking men into the meat grinder vs. being a platoon ro squad leader who’s much more conservative with the men he’s shoulder to shoulder with… it’s a switch up in thought process that feels good to move into.
