Woops! That evens things out a little! I’ve been eyeing your Queen a couple moves now… Chess trade odds say that should have been done as soon as I saw it, given the piece ratio of each side once gone…it’s a hard lesson to embrace. There are two distinct kinds of players that I’ve seen the most: those that kill everything that can be killed, and then fight with what’s left (as smartly done as possible); and those that play strategically start to finish with positioning and as little personal attrition as possible. There something to be said about each approach. |

Some people may disagree on the brain thing! …but thank you. I started out playing back in the 70’s so, I think I have a few years on you. I noted that you talkies about playing on computer, which I can’t stress more highly how good of an investment that is in learning the strategies and pitfalls of the game. I got a Kasparov electronic chess set for Christmas 1985 from my wife of one year! Prior to that, I’d only read books and played a few face-to-face games. That electronic chess set taught me more than any book ever did to date. It was a great game… you had me cornered several times and had me in the defense a for a long endgame. I can see where you’re strong play is, which is in many aspects! I can tell you think ahead, that you employ multi-pronged offense, and you’re willing to trade pieces… that last bit is something that I failed at for decades! I’ll play anytime! You’re a worthy adversary of which I whom I can see pouncing on my best efforts like a coiled cobra! Thank you for starting the game!!! |
